Diploma of Interactive Digital Media (CUF50207)
Incorporating CUF40207 Certificate IV in Interactive Digital Media
This interactive digital media course will develop your knowledge and expertise to industry standard, enabling you to seek a career in interactive media, web design, content management, animation or visual effects, mobile application or interface design. Your interactive digital media studies will include the production of a portfolio in preparation for entering the exciting and ever-expanding Digital Design industry.

Extensive in-depth, hands-on experience in a diverse range of digital media and web design applications is coupled with real world projects and assignments over the duration of this course. You will receive foundation knowledge in:

• Design, video, 2D and 3D animation
• XHTML, HTML, CSS and scripting (Action Script and JavaScript)
• Digital video effects
• Design and development for mobile devices and new technologies
• Web development (including MySQL and PHP)
• Human computer interaction and interface design and development

School leavers must have completed Year 12 or equivalent

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Interactive and Visual Design) (Queensland University of Technology)

Bachelor of Games Design (Griffith University)

Bachelor of Creative Arts (University of Southern Queensland)

Diploma graduates will receive a minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 82 (OP equivalent 10).
QUT and Griffith University will give 5 bonus rank points bringing a graduate's TER to 87 (OP equivalent 8

Duration
Full Time        18 months
Classes are generally scheduled between the hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Night classes may be scheduled and timetables are subject to change.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.

Standard course cost will be charged for units of study/courses credited via RPL.

Applications Close
There is only one intake per year, in January. Please consult QTAC for details of application closing dates and offer dates.
Costs

Government Subsidised Fee: $8,000

Concession Fee: $6,630

Government subsidised fees must be paid through existing payment methods at the time of enrolment.

 

Full Fee: $21,000 VET FEE-HELP* eligible.

The Certificate IV component of this program is partially supported by Government funded subsidy. Upfront student contribution fees of $2,790 will apply. For the Diploma component of the program, students can access VET FEE HELP assistance.

To be eligible for VET FEE-HELP, and defer payment of fees, a student must be enrolled in a full fee paying course.
