Instrument Processing and Infection Control in Office-based Practice
A course for dental assistants and allied health staff looking to update existing knowledge in the areas of instrument processing and infection control. You'll gain essential skills and knowledge behind a wide range of critical elements in infection control and sterilisation. As part of this course you'll learn theory through online units and attend a 2-day assessment workshop. These units make up part of the Certificate III in Dental Assisting so with a Certificate of Attainment for completing this course you can put them towards completing the full certificate qualification.

Applicants are selected according to eligibility and merit; vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies
Due to Occupational Health and Safety, all participants need to have completed a course of Hepatitis B vaccinations before the practical assessment. You will be required to provide a copy of your serology report as evidence of sero-conversion to HepB surface antigen (anti-HBsAg). Contact your GP to arrange a referral for a blood test.
