Diploma of Beauty Therapy
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy course will develop your skills in:
• Makeup application - including photographic makeup
• Aromatherapy and reflexology
• Nail treatments – including manicures and pedicures
• Facial treatments – including advanced beauty treatments with electrical equipment
• Hair removal and tinting
• Spa treatments
• Applying knowledge of nutrition, skin science and cosmetic chemistry to beauty treatments
• Beauty therapy clinic management.

Program Duration
Part Time 2 years
Classes are normally timetabled between 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. However, there may be some evening classes to accommodate lecture availability in specialty areas. Practical salon sessions may be held on Saturday mornings.
Mandatory orientation for all students is usually held 1 week prior to commencement of the program

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where a student may be granted credit or partial credit towards a qualification in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training.
Standard course cost will be charged for units of study/courses credited via RPL.

- Full Rate: $7,396
A professional equipment kit is included in your fees for both full-time and part-time programs. Also note that Occupational Health and Safety standards require that students adhere to a minimum dress standard, that is, two Beauty Therapy tunic tops which are included in your program fees. Black trousers and fully enclosed black shoes must be purchased at the student's expense.

Total course tuition fees are indicative only. Fees are subject to annual adjustment. For FEE-HELP and VET FEE-HELP eligible courses, the unit fees are charged according to the study period in which the unit is commenced. The unit fees outlined in this document apply to census dates between 01 January 2012 and 30 June 2012. Unit fees will not change for this period. Course commencement is dependent on sufficient enrolments, accreditation and registration requirements. From the 1st January of each year, programs are subject to a fee increase in line with the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI).
