Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
It is a condition of your Student Visa that you maintain approved Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) while in Australia. You may choose your own health care organisation or you can simply pay the OSHC premium as prescribed in your Offer of Place directly to Southbank Institute of Technology. We have an arrangement with Medibank Private, who provide us with a rebate. We will forward your payment to Medibank Private who will provide you with your medical insurance cover.
We will record on your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) whether or not you have paid the OSHC directly to Southbank Institute of Technology. If you do not pay your OSHC to Southbank Institute of Technology, you will be required to demonstrate to the Australian Embassy that health cover has been paid, at the time of applying for your student visa.
