- 1. Certificate III in Children's Services CHC30708
This program introduces you to the skills and knowledge relevant to the children’s service industry. On successful completion you will have the opportunity to apply for programs such as the Diploma of Children’s Services at Southbank Institute of Technology. Learn to assist with the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and children’s profiles to plan play and leisure experiences and provide care for children. Learn how to assist with the creation of individual profiles to optimise children’s development and learning in Children’s Services’ settings. This qualification is required by The Child Care Act 2002 for workers who are employed as assistants, in Centre Based Care and School Age Care.
- 2. Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) CHC50908-4
This program prepares students to work in a variety of children’s services such as day care, primary schools, out of school hours care, occasional care coordinator, holiday programs and play centres. This qualification covers workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating the program. Workers at this level are required to have an understanding of Indigenous culture and history and to work with local communities in the provision of services. Embedded within this program is the Certificate III in Children’s Services.
