Southbank Institute of Technology has a proven record as one of Queensland's leading providers of high-level vocational and technical education.

In 2010/11, 21,450 students from 90 countries chose to study at the Institute, enjoying access to 114 different course areas and 160 pathway opportunities to university.

Our vibrant campus is in a prime location and central to everything - public transport, cultural arts and entertainment, Brisbane's city centre, the famous Gold Coast beaches and theme parks, and the beautiful Sunshine Coast with its rainforests.

Public transport to the campus is trouble-free, accessible and affordable with buses, trains and ferries covering all areas of Brisbane.

Study is tailored to accommodate busy lifestyles with a range of study modes available, for example, full and part time, classroom, workshops, online, external and on-the-job. (Not all modes are available for all programs.)

We are continuing to meet the increasingly diverse needs of industry and students with a wide range of recognised qualifications including apprenticeships, certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, associate degrees. We are also the driving force behind a range of vocational graduate certificates and diplomas. These programs have been designed to appeal to those who already have a university qualification or significant industry experience and want to upgrade their practical hands-on skills to succeed.

State-of-the-art training facilities include purpose-built classrooms and laboratories giving our students practical experience and the opportunity to work with real clients.

In addition, links with industry to develop training and provide workplace experience ensures Southbank Institute's graduates are in high demand with employers.
