Adult Tertiary Preparation
This is a program that equates with years 11 and 12 of the Queensland secondary
school system and is suited to people who left school without completing year
12 or have had a long absence from study. Students can qualify for further
study, enhance job prospects or simply enjoy learning.
Adult Tertiary Preparation offers a one year full time (or two to four years part-time) program which results in a Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation.
On completion of this Certificate IV program, students can apply to QTAC for a ranking which enables them to access either university entrance or other tertiary pathways.
It also enhances students' employment opportunities because they have education to a Year 12 level.
