"When I first started this course I was nervous. I hadn't studied in four years. It was overwhelming at the beginning but all the teachers are great. They connect to you. They know how you feel. You need to keep on top of it all, which isn't hard! I'm so glad I did this course, which has really helped me get back into the groove of study for university next year.

"This year was a totally new experience for me. Coming from another country, everything was a challenge. The way of studying and preparing assessments was new to me. So I had to learn everything from the beginning and the fact that English is not my first language made it even harder.

"I have done a lot of things in my life, but going to Southbank and doing my two subjects was probably the thing I am most proud of. I would often brag about how great it was doing the ATP course, and my kids would laugh at me and ask, 'How's school mum?' I know they loved hearing about it.
