Building Design and Technology
Through building design diploma studies you will develop your design skills by using new technology to enhance the quality of your building plans. Learning more about the principles of building construction, interpreting client briefs, building design, plus drawing and presenting your plans, you will complete your studies with experienced teachers who are practising industry professionals.
The Diploma of Building Design and Technology also incorporates a Certificate IV in Residential Drafting. This program’s graduates have potential employment in roles such as architectural technicians and building designers. It develops skills in:

Interior Technology
Discover the benefits of giving your interior skills a computer-generated makeover through studies in another diploma. You will learn all about the selection of materials, colour schemes, fabrics and furnishings, but take them to the next level with practical knowledge of construction methodology and computer-generated technical drawing.
The Diploma of Interior Technology has an exit point at the Certificate IV in Residential Interior Technology. This program prepares graduates for a career as an Interior Technician. It develops skills in:
- basic 2D drawings
- computer aided drafting
- costing techniques for interior design projects
- materials identification
Additionally we offer 2 Vocational Graduate Certificates to assist in your career progression and professional development. These exciting qualifications are new to the educational environment and are in the following fields of study:
- Architectural Digital Illustration – a 4 subject graduate level program that involves practical studies in 3D modelling, rendering of a 3D Model in an architectural situation and building a Web site and an interactive CD ROM for an Architectural Digital Presentation
- Environmentally Sustainable Building – a 4 subject graduate level program that involves establishing an overall understanding of sustainable practices, researching existing information and draw realistic conclusions, establishing an overall relationship and balance between the factors that make up sustainability and their combined impact on the environment, formulating strategies to deal with unacceptable overuse of energy water, materials and finally in providing advice on sustainable building concepts
