Toolboxes and CD towers
A toolbox is a collection of resources, suggested learning strategies and other material to support online training. You can use toolboxes as full classroom resources, or as an additional resource, and you can use the entire toolbox or link directly to a relevant section or activity. Your teacher will tell you what items in the toolbox are relevant to your course.
Currently, Southbank Institute of Technology has 16 toolboxes available online via campus CD towers in a variety of subject areas including business, literacy and numeracy, training and assessment, library studies, contemporary music and retail.
How to access CD towers
Students can only access toolbox resources from Southbank Institute of Technology computers. To access toolbox resources:
- log on to a campus computer with your username and password
- open Internet Explorer
- open the favourites menu
- select Institute Links
- click on (Campus name) CD tower. Access to CD Towers is restricted, for example, Morningside CD tower will appear if you are logged on at Morningside campus.
