Software and Plug-ins

1. Internet Explorer

Our online courses are designed to work with Internet Explorer 7. If you have any other browser or version of Internet Explorer, some features may not function as designed.

To find out your current version of Internet Explorer: select About Internet Explorer from the Help menu.

2. Adobe Acrobat Reader

To open PDF files, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC.

3. Microsoft Word

To open Microsoft Word files you will need to have either Microsoft Word or a Microsoft Word viewer installed on your PC.

4. Microsoft PowerPoint

To open Microsoft PowerPoint files you will need to have either Microsoft PowerPoint or a Microsoft PowerPoint viewer installed on your PC.

5. Adobe Flash Player 8

Flash animations are used throughout our online courses. You will need to make sure that you have a Flash Player installed on your PC.

Browser Settings

6. Cookies

 

Our online courses use cookies to keep track of which pages you have visited and records it for you on the "Section Overview" page at the beginning of each section. If you would like to use this feature, you will need to have cookies enabled. To do this:

  1. Select Internet Options from your browser's Tool menu.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Drag the scroll bar down to medium high.
  4. Click the OK button.

Note: Your course will function perfectly if you decide not to enable cookies. Your "Section Overview" page will just have blank checkboxes.

7. Pop-Ups

 

Our online courses rely on pop-up windows being enabled. If you do not enable pop-ups your course will not function as designed.

Pop-up windows are usually disabled using third-party software such as pop-up stopper, the Google toolbar, firewalls etc. You should check the Help file for the appropriate software to determine how to enable pop-ups for this site.
