Online Enrolment Exemptions
Students Exempt from Enrolling Online
Some student groups are exempt from using the Internet enrolment service. These groups are:
- Sponsored students - students whose fees are being paid by a third party (eg. an employer). If your employer or sponsor wants to be invoiced, please contact your Faculty for an Enrolment Selection Form, which you must attach to a Purchase Order or letter of Authority/Request to Invoice on business letterhead paper. This will officially advise the Institute of the sponsor's intent to pay your fees. This can be submitted to the Southbank Institute via any of the methods listed below for exempt students.
- International Students - both new and continuing
- Apprentices and Trainees
- English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) Students
- Literacy and Numeracy Students
- Students enrolling in selected Fee For Service programs (Full Fee programs that do not have a concession available).
- CentrePay students
- Students enrolling into Telstra Online programs
- Students with a disability
If you fall into any of these categories, you will receive alternative enrolment instructions from your faculty. Students with a disability are encouraged to complete the online enrolment process. If an individual’s disability prevents them from accessing and/or completing this process, specialised support is available. For support completing the enrolment process, please contact Disability Services.

Deposit
Deposit your enrolment and cheque, money order or credit card details in the green deposit boxes provided at:
- Southbank campus - Student Administration and Services foyer, level 2, A Block
- Southbank campus - hospitality reception, ground floor, H Block
- Morningside campus - Student Administration and Services foyer, ground floor, J Block
- Kangaroo Point campus - eTechnology reception, level 1, C Block

You may need enrolment forms from the faculty to access this service. Please have your credit card details ready before phoning. If you do not own a credit card and are using someone else's credit card to pay for your enrolment, the card holder must be available to give authorisation. An enrolment confirmation and receipt for payment will be posted to you.
In person - Cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS or credit card
