Schools

Southbank Institute of Technology is Queensland's largest public vocational education and training institute and has a range of services your school can utilise.

Events

To help students choose the best study options for their chosen career, we coordinate special on-campus events and actively participate in major educational promotional initiatives.

STEP

Southbank Institute of Technology has developed our STEP program specifically for senior secondary school students in Queensland.

The Southbank Tertiary Entrance Program (STEP) offers Queensland students the opportunity to begin study in Year 11 and complete six months of a diploma by the time they finish Year 12.

Students study on campus one day a week, enhancing their study skills and experience whilst contributing credit towards their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

Guidance Officers

Every year Southbank Institute hosts an information event for Guidance Officers and Careers Counsellors from Brisbane high schools to learn about our products and services provided to school leavers. The format changes each year based on feedback received, however topics covered can include:

We also offer an opportunity for our guests to tour our campus and view the learning environments.

In 2011, we held a delicious breakfast on Thursday 26 May in our restaurant, where guests were served by students of the Hospitality course.

All of our latest 2012 course brochures are also available here.
