Results and Awards
You will be advised by your lecturer how your competency is to be assessed at the commencement of your program or course. There are many ways you may be assessed including:
- examinations
- written assignments
- practical demonstrations
A Result of Assessment is issued on the completion of study of a competency or group of competencies. It lists the code and the name of the competency/s and the result achieved.
You will be issued your results and awards within 21 days of the class end date or on completion of the program. These documents are posted to the address you provided in your New or Continuing Student Personal Details. You can also log on to the Student Self Service web site and access your results at any time, and print an unofficial academic transcript.
Note: Under the Vocational Education Training and Employment Act 2000, students with outstanding fees or payments with TAFE Queensland can have their awards and results withheld until the debt is cleared.
If you wish to have your assessment reviewed, contact your faculty administration or lecturer to discuss. A review fee may be charged.
Lost results and awards
If your results are lost or destroyed, you can replace them for a minor reprinting fee. The Institute can also provide you with an academic transcript in place of lost results. This document lists all the courses and programs you undertook at TAFE in Queensland, including your final grades.
You can also obtain another copy of your award document for a small reprinting fee. However, you must provide a Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace before the reprint will be issued.
To obtain a Request for Transcript form, Request for Reprint of an Award form, and/or Statutory Declaration document, contact the Institute on 13 72 48 or visit the Student Services Centre.
