Who can access counselling services at Southbank Institute of Technology?

What happens in a counselling session?
During a counselling session, we may:
- work with you to find solutions for your concerns
- help you to appreciate your own strengths
- explore options available to you
- assist in decision making and goal setting
- use an assessment tool such as the Myers-Briggs Type indicator.
Counselling is strictly confidential. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected and will not be disclosed to a third party without your consent unless disclosure is authorised by law.
How do I make an appointment to see a counsellor?
To make an appointment, you can:
- Visit: Student Services Centre, C Block (Level 1), 66 Ernest Street, Southbank Campus
- Phone: 07 3244 5095 (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm) to make an appointment

Where can I receive counselling?
Our counsellors have offices at Southbank, and Kangaroo Point campuses. When arranging your appointment, please indicate the most convenient location.
In addition to these locations, we also provide support over the telephone and by email.
