Our counselling service is available to help you achieve your study goals and enjoy your experience at Southbank Institute of Technology. This service is free and confidential.
How can we help you?
We can:
- help you to decide what career path to follow
- assist you in selecting the right program or course
- provide mediation and support for educational issues
- help you to effectively manage your studies and time
- provide financial hardship advice
- help with personal issues that are impacting on your studies
- provide information about QTAC and admission requirements and procedures
- give you advice on cross-cultural issues
- provide assistance for special needs and suggest learning support options
- refer you to other services (for those seeking long term counselling and support)
- provide support to off campus and online students
- provide support on complex issues such as sexual harassment and grievances.
We also specialise in counselling services for international students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
