KathyDavisKathy Davis, MC

Leading the business development for Three Plus Training, Kathy Davis brings to Three Plus 30 years’ experience in journalism, media relations, marketing and development. Having studied electronic journalism as part of an Arts degree and trained as a cadet in the Channel Nine newsroom, Kathy worked for 10 years in commercial TV news, and as a writer for The Daily Sun and radio reporter for 4BH, followed by 10 years with the Queensland Government in public relations and marketing roles.

For 20 years, Kathy freelanced as Queensland editor for ACP Publishing’s Australian House & Garden magazine. She has edited two books and lectured in public relations at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Kathy also has 16 years’ non-profit development experience and has been Director of Development for John Paul College and Development Manager for a University of Queensland faculty. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and has a Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy & Non-profit Studies).

Susan Mackie is the chief executive of the de Bono Institute and the director of de Bono Thinking Plus in Melbourne. Susan works at an international level to position creative and design thinking as a foremost development strategy for government, education and leading organisations. Susan is skilled at conceptualising, designing, implementing and researching the application of thinking frameworks for building innovation in educational and corporate settings.

Steve is an international speaker, consultant and author based in Queensland. Described by UK based e-Customer Service World as ‘Australia’s leading corporate culture authority’, Steve has created the concept of UGRs® which is receiving global acclaim as a tool to understand and improve organisational culture.

Steve has spoken at two World Conferences on Customer Service Management, in the US – where he rated in the Top 10 speakers. Recent engagements include the UK Customer Management Conference in Edinburgh, the Regional Conference for the Academy of Chief Executives in London, and the International Leadership Symposium in Johannesburg. He is the author of two books and a contributing author to a further two books. Steve has been accredited as a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest speaker distinction recognised by the International Federation for Professional Speakers.

Berwyn ClaytonBerwyn Clayton, Director Centre Undertaking Research in Vocational Education (CURVE) Canberra Institute of Technology

Ms Berwyn Clayton recently retired as Director of CURVE, at the Canberra Institute of Technology. She has worked in the VET sector for over 20 years and is currently one of the three directors of the national consortium research program: Supporting VET providers in building capability for the future (NCVER).

She is also a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (ACE) and a Past President of the Australian Vocational Education and Training Research Association (AVETRA).

Kerry CueKerry Cue, Educator Author and Humorist

Kerry Cue taught secondary Maths and Chemistry for ten years before becoming an amazingly successful author and freelance journalist. Her humorous articles have been published in nearly every newspaper in Australia. She is currently writing a weekly column for the Herald Sun in Victoria and The Advertiser in South Australia. She is the best-selling author of over 16 humorous and educational books: Crooks, Chooks and Bloody Ratbags; Born to Whinge; Life on a G-String; I Left My Heart In Chinkapook and My Knickers in New York.

Kerry is a strong believer in the power of humour to unclutter the mind, unburden the heart and revitalise our passion for work, love and life.
